Out with the New, In with the Old: Our Continued Commitment to Sustainability

At Steel City, our team is expanding, and with that comes the need for a bigger and better office space. But, of course, we couldn’t just expand without keeping our commitment to sustainability in mind.

When it came time to deck out our new office, we decided to take a different approach. Instead of turning to new, mass-produced furniture, we chose to partner with a sustainable working solutions company, Office Furniture UK, that specializes in buying and selling pre-owned office furniture. And before you picture a bunch of mismatched, wobbly desks, let us assure you: this stuff is in great condition and looks fantastic.

Millions of tons of office furniture end up in landfills every year, and we’re proud to be part of the solution by giving these items a second life. By choosing gently used furniture, we’re keeping perfectly good items out of landfills, reducing our carbon footprint, and saving some cash in the process. It’s a win-win-win!
