The Juniper PTX10004 is a compact, modular packet transport router engineered for service provider, cloud and large enterprise core/edge aggregation deployments that require very high throughput and flexible multi-rate connectivity.
It supports Juniper’s 400 GbE transport architecture with inline MACsec across all ports and runs Junos OS Evolved, delivering rich Layer 2/Layer 3, MPLS and automation capabilities in a space-efficient 7 RU platform.
Ideal deployment / environment:
The PTX10004 is well suited for carrier-class core, peering, aggregation and data centre interconnect roles where high-density Ethernet and IP/MPLS transport are needed in a space- and power-constrained site.
Its modular line-cards and configurable switch fabric deliver growth flexibility and high throughput for traffic-intensive applications, including broadband aggregation, mobile backhaul and wholesale Ethernet services. Built-in MACsec and Junos OS Evolved routing and automation features support secure, scalable, and programmable operations for modern service architectures.
