Content: To ensure a high-level of security HPE have a combination of ClearPass and Niara to profile devices, track these devices and if things aren’t correct remove these devices from the network. With an increasing number of products at the edge which often lack security attributes IT have been forced to secure these devices which could be wide open to security threats. HPE ClearPass provides built-in discovery and profiling to ensure users and devices are granted appropriate access privileges.

ClearPass Device Insight greatly enhances profiling capabilities through a combination of Deep Packet Inspection, advanced machine learning and crowdsourcing device fingerprints. In-built features like the ultrascalable AAA with RADIUS and TACACS+ allow organisations to contextualise data; while third-party solutions like firewalls, MDM/EMM, MFA and SIEM tools can be used to automate security remediation. Should a threat by identified ports can be locked down and a device placed on the denylist to stop it from accessing the network.
