What is FortiConverter Cloud?

As a part of FortiCloud’s unified platform, FortiConverter is Fortinet’s cloud-hosted firewall configuration conversion service. It automates the translation of firewall policies and objects from third-party security platforms, or legacy FortiGate devices, into FortiOS-compatible configuration files for deployment on FortiGate next-generation firewalls.

By analysing existing firewall configurations and converting them into validated FortiGate-ready syntax, FortiConverter Cloud reduces migration risk, shortens deployment time, and removes the need for manual rule re-creation during firewall refresh or platform migration projects.

FortiConverter Cloud provides automated firewall migration capabilities, including:

• Configuration conversion from third-party firewalls including Cisco, Check Point, Juniper, Palo Alto and SonicWall
• FortiGate to FortiGate conversion for FortiOS upgrades and hardware refresh projects
