What is FortiIdentity Cloud (formerly FortiToken)?

As a part of FortiCloud’s unified platform, FortiIdentity a cloud-hosted Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) service, designed to provide strong, centrally managed authentication and access control across Fortinet and third-party applications.

FortiIdentity Cloud enables organisations to move beyond password-only access by offering secure, scalable MFA, single sign-on (SSO), and identity-provider (IdP) or IdP-proxy capabilities — without the need to deploy or maintain on-premises identity infrastructure:

  • MFA with FortiToken, including mobile (software) tokens and hardware options
  • IdP and IdP-Proxy services for SAML/OIDC-based applications and federated login flows
  • Cloud-based, centrally managed IAM including user provisioning, access policies and authentication logs
