The Juniper QFX5110-48S is a high-performance, compact 1 U Ethernet switch designed for data centre and campus networks. It delivers wire-speed switching with very low latency, supports a wide range of port speeds (1 GbE up to 100 GbE) and runs the full-featured Junos OS, providing a flexible, scalable and automation-ready network building block suitable for modern leaf/spine, access or aggregation layers.
Ideal deployment / environment: The Juniper QFX5110-48S is ideally positioned as a leaf or access switch in modern data-centre architectures, delivering high-density 10 GbE connectivity for servers and hyper-converged infrastructure, with 40 GbE and 100 GbE uplinks to spine or aggregation layers. Support for VXLAN/EVPN and large forwarding tables makes it well suited to virtualised and multi-tenant environments requiring efficient overlay/underlay integration and scalable network segmentation.
With low latency, high throughput and advanced automation capabilities, the QFX5110-48S is also well aligned for campus distribution, cloud-ready data centres and hybrid physical-to-virtual network deployments.
