The Juniper ACX7100-48L is a high-density Cloud Metro router engineered for service provider, enterprise and data-centre aggregation, delivering 4.8 Tbps of forwarding capacity in a compact 1 RU fixed form factor.
It supports 48 multi-rate SFP56 ports configurable as 10 GbE, 25 GbE or 50 GbE, plus 6 QSFP56-DD ports capable of 100 GbE or 400 GbE; providing granular port-by-port flexibility for high-bandwidth services. Running Junos OS Evolved, ACX7100-48L integrates advanced routing, MPLS, EVPN-VXLAN, segment routing and automation for resilient, scalable service delivery.
Ideal deployment / environment:
The ACX7100-48L is ideal for cloud metro access, aggregation and edge transport roles that require both high port density and flexible multi-rate service delivery. Its combination of 10 GbE/25 GbE/50 GbE service ports with 100 GbE and 400 GbE uplinks enables efficient hand-off into core or spine layers, supporting service provider backhaul, enterprise WAN aggregation, wholesale Ethernet services and data-centre interconnect.
With support for advanced routing and overlay technologies under Junos OS Evolved, it is suited to 5G mobile backhaul, distributed Ethernet services and scalable metro edge fabrics that demand resilient performance and protocol-rich operations.
