The FortiGate 1800F is a 2U rack-mounted next-generation firewall designed for large data-centres, enterprise WAN edges and service-provider environments. It delivers very high firewall and VPN throughput, broad interface flexibility including 40 GbE/25 GbE/10 GbE connectivity, and full FortiOS unified security services.
Ideal deployment / environment
The FortiGate 1800F is tailored for enterprise or service-provider cores, data-centre perimeters, and high-throughput WAN-edge gateways that require VPN termination, encrypted traffic handling and high-speed interconnects.
FG-1800F fits multi-site enterprises, distributed cloud/hybrid-cloud architecture, or multi-tenant hosting environments, and is also well suited for centralised security, secure inter-data-centre links, high-capacity internet uplinks and aggregated VPN backbones.
