The SCBE3-MX is an enhanced switch control board designed for the Juniper MX240, MX480 and MX960 Universal Routing Platforms to provide high-bandwidth, resilient switching fabric performance for modern high-capacity line cards.
It integrates improved fabric throughput and redundancy capabilities using Juniper’s ZF-based switch fabric, enabling large-scale packet forwarding between modular port concentrators and supporting advanced routing functions when paired with compatible Routing Engines.

The SCBE3-MX is ideal for large-scale edge, metro and core IP routing fabrics built on the Juniper MX platform where high throughput and fabric resilience are critical. Designed to be deployed in MX960, MX480 and MX240 systems that utilise high-capacity line cards (such as MPC10E) to maximise switch fabric bandwidth and redundancy.
